Loved it。 Super predictable and easy reading but the characters were really loveable and really liked the main protagonist and the love interest！ Only 4 stars because it was YA so no super spicy scenes but oh well。 Will read the rest of the series！

This is a Cinderella retelling， set in the future， where Cinderella is a cyborg。 Of course there is the wicked stepmother， and two stepsisters， but this story is science fiction。 I really enjoyed it， and didn’t find it to be a dumb YA novel。 I don’t usually enjoy YA books， but this one is an exception。 I’ll be happy to read the next installment。 This book ends with a cliffhanger。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 YA is not usually my go-to genre but I was pleasantly surprised by this fresh take on Cinderella。 I enjoyed the addition of political maneuvering and higher stakes to the story。 The worldwide plague storyline hits close to home these days。 The reveal of Cinder's identity at the end is no big surprise to anyone used to YA tropes， but I still really enjoyed the journey of getting there and I am invested in seeing what she does from here。 I also appreciated the deviation from the traditional story YA is not usually my go-to genre but I was pleasantly surprised by this fresh take on Cinderella。 I enjoyed the addition of political maneuvering and higher stakes to the story。 The worldwide plague storyline hits close to home these days。 The reveal of Cinder's identity at the end is no big surprise to anyone used to YA tropes， but I still really enjoyed the journey of getting there and I am invested in seeing what she does from here。 I also appreciated the deviation from the traditional story that it didn't end with her getting together with her Prince Charming。I didn't feel the evil stepmother/evil stepsister dynamic needed to be done to the extent it was， especially with the evil Queen already looming as the big bad in the story。 Those characters could have benefited from some fleshing out， and there could have still been conflict in Cinder's home life without them being so one-note。 Overall an enjoyable read that I finished quickly and am looking forward to reading more of this series。 。。。more

3。5-4 stars。I was really excited to read this series and happy the first book didn’t disappoint me。 I like the world and how diverse it is。 The characters were all okay。 Cinder is strong in her own way and don’t stand down for anyone。 Kai is okay too， although him loving Cinder was so quickly but they cute together but nothing special。 Cinder being the princess wasn’t a surprise I think we all known that but that cliffhanger is amazing Excited to see what the series hold more
